リブレットへのFreeBSD2.1.0RのInstall手順

リブレット専用のFDD(なんと25000円もする)をOSのINSTALLのためだけに購入 するのはどうももったいない。そこで、トリッキーな方法でFreeBSDをINSTALL する方法を考えてみた。

必要な道具は

  1. Librettoから HardDiskを外す
  2. デスクトップにHDDを接続する
  3. FreeBSDをInstallする
    私はFreeBSD2.1R + pccard-testを使いました。今ならもっと新しいもの が出ているはずです(名前もPAOに変わっています)。詳しくは ここ を御覧ください。
  4. LibrettoをHDDをもどす
の手順でInstallすることができました。 あとはハイバネーション の設定ですが、起動時にEsc を押し続けていると F1 を押せとの指示がある。押すとBIOSが起動するのでこれで設定することが 可能。 今のところ問題なく動作しています。 XF86Configは以下のようになっています。
