Snail Within A Spiral

Snail Within A Spiral

A snail walks on glass twigs.
he sees a tiny rainbow appear
inside the glass;
It is five millimeters high.
He casually watches the colors
of the spectrum separate
inside the transparent tube.

In a whirlpool he has
no backbone inside his shell,
spiraling;
hiding in his labyrinth--
he goes into brightness;
then he goes into darkness.
At the door, a ringing starts in his ear;
It continues for several seconds.

A clear snail rises into the sky;
he hides his antennae behind
the clouds

powdery fingers scatter
ashes on the mid-morning,
where the snail begins to sleep.
