twitter で、「戦力(兵力)の逐次投入は忌むべき愚の骨頂であると孫子にはっきり書かれている」
とかいった趣旨の発言を見かけたので、
そうだっけかと思いつつとりあえずぐぐる。
日本の病の一つ目。「戦力の逐次投入」 - 漂流する身体。
一般的に、戦力の逐次投入は古来より戦場の下策として戒められてきたとされるけれども、古今の戦術書のどれが
出典かと言うと、実ははっきりしない。孫子の兵法はと言えば、再度精読した訳では無いので、断言は出来ないが、
「善く戦うものは、その勢は険にして、その節は短なり」「故に兵は拙速なるを聞くも、未だ巧久なるをみざるなり」
など、風の如く疾きことを重視した機動会戦を主張はしているが、逐次投入そのものを戒めた記述は無い様に思える。
西洋に行ってクラウゼヴィッツの戦争論に於いては、(略) 攻撃を含めた戦争全般において、逐次投入というコンセプト
そのものに焦点を当てた議論は為されて居ない様に思える。
それで、はて原典はどこかと調べてみると、どうやらナポレオン言行録の様である。僕はこの本を読んだことが無いので、
複数の二次情報からになるが、ナポレオンは、「戦闘の翌日に備えて新鮮な部隊を取っておく将軍はほぼ常に敗北する。
必要とあらば、最後の一兵まで投入しなければならない。なぜなら、完全なる軍事的成功の翌日には、もはや我々の前に
障害はないからである。」と言っている様だ。これは極めて明確なコンセプトである。しかし、当のナポレオン本人が、
最後のワーテルローの戦いで、ネイ元帥の突撃の後に近衛軍団の投入を渋って勝機を逃したのは皮肉な物語だ。

closing delimiter, or to the end of the current line if the pattern extends onto the next line. Hence, this is
very much like an ordinary Perl code comment. (You can include the closing delimiter within the comment only if
you precede it with a backslash, so be careful!)
