Null Object: Gustav Metzger Thinks About Nothing - All Books - Black Dog Publishing
Null Object: Gustav Metzger Thinks About Nothing - All Books - Black Dog Publishing
Null Object discusses the project where London Fieldworks produced 3D shape information from EEG
readings of Metzger’s brainwaves as he attempted to think about nothing. This data was translated
into instructions for a manufacturing robot, which carved out the shapes from the interior of a block
of stone to create a void space.
The book includes an introduction by the artists, a text by Gustav Metzger and four contextualising
essays by Bronac Ferran, Hari Kunzru, Nick Lambert and Christopher Tyler. These leading writers across
the fields of literature, art, science and technology explore the diverse historical and conceptual
grounding for and broader implications of the production process.
Null Object coincides with an exhibition at WORK gallery that runs from 30th November until 9th
February. For more information click here.

Amazon.co.jp: Moving from C to C++: Discussing Programming Problems, Why They Exist and How C++ Solves Them: Arunesh Goyal: 洋書
Moving from C to C++
The author says it best, "I hope to move you, a little at a time, from understanding C to the point
where C++ becomes your mindset". This remarkable book is designed to streamline the process of
learning C++ in a way that discusses programming problems, why they exist, and the approach C++ has taken
to solve such problems.
(略)
To look at C++ as a way to express and tackle more and more complex concepts
Understand that C++ is not just a collection of features in isolation
To think about design, not simply coding
To understand the problems with C and with programming, in general and how they are addressed in C++
Build up a solid foundation so that you can understand the issues well enough to move on
Who this book is for
C programmers in the process of adopting C++. Readers should at minimum have a reading level comfort
with C.

The Three Laws of Programming Language Design
Joe Armstrong(of Erlang) while reviewing Elixir(Ruby like language that compiles to Erlang Virtual
Machine) states his Three Laws of Programming Language Design.
What you get right nobody mentions.
What you get wrong, people bitch about.
What is difficult to understand you have to explain to people over and over again.
